Mission

GreenTara’s mission is to make a significant social impact in India, with emphasis on North India, by nurturing, mentoring, and generally supporting selected Social Enterprises (SE’s). For SE’s struggling for a footing, we will help them onto a path of self-sustainability and growth. For established SE’s, we will help them to grow and prosper. 

We will focus on SE’s working to mitigate hunger (immediate and long term) and improve education, hygiene and health, especially in rural areas and for children, so that there is a measureable improvement in the physical and mental health of their target population.

We will provide specific support in Strategic and Business Planning, Fund Raising, and finding/using Networking Opportunities.

Resources

A Core Group of eight advisors with:

• Extensive senior level Indian and International experience, in the financial, industrial, and commercial sectors, both large and small scale.

• Varied skills in technology, production, finance and audit to provide a meaningful contribution to such causes.

• Commitment to provide adequate time and effort, in a timely fashion, to the organizations that they partner with.

• Credibility to raise funds, progressively.

This is a network of friends, family, and associates (many already identified) in Singapore, the USA, and India to provide advise and motivation to well–run Social Enterprises to enable them to achieve their stated objectives in a fulfilling manner.

Services

GreenTara will partner Social Enterprises in the Food, Nutrition, Health, Hygiene and Education sectors for the under–served and un–served in rural North India that feel challenged in their ability to deliver in a timely fashion, and will provide:

• Advisory Services

• Government Relations

• Networking

• Building Plans (for expansion)

• Fund Raising

The concept is to help selected Social Enterprises achieve their full potential if otherwise limited by manpower, funds, weak communication, unrealistic goals, staff motivation, and process integrity.

Future Services:

GreenTara will create partnerships for recipient organizations with International organizations to show-case their work to motivate others to take up similar work in other parts of the world.
